Hyderabad: A division bench of the twin States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar, on Thursday adjourned by a week a writ petition questioning the education qualification filed by former Minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy in his nomination papers.
The bench was dealing with a writ petition filed by TRS candidate Dubbaka Narsimha Reddy who lost to the former Minister in the Nalgonda Assembly election. The petitioner complained that the former Minister had furnished false claims regarding his education. The bench appointed D Prakash Reddy as amicus curie to assist the court in the case.
