Hyderabad: The nearing centenary Osmania University has grabbed one more jewel in its crown. The much acclaimed university for the research studies among the universities of the country - Osmania University has secured second rank, according to the India Today-Nielson Group’s joint survey. Delhi University remained at the top position, while Osmania secured the second position, said OU Vice Chancellor Prof S Satyanarayana.

Osmania University has been in the news recently for not getting accredited by NAAC. Nevertheless, the recent announcement made by the survey report has made the university shatter all ill comments it has seen in the recent past over not having the NAAC accreditation.
