Hyderabad in Delhi Footprints!!. According to the sources, sooner Hyderabad will have three corporations like Delhi which has got it by now. The Telangana government is reportedly very keen to divide the existing Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation (GHMC) into three parts – Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad municipal corporations.
Hyderabad: According to the sources, sooner Hyderabad will have three corporations like Delhi which has got it by now. The Telangana government is reportedly very keen to divide the existing Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation (GHMC) into three parts – Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad municipal corporations. It is learnt that the Telangana State Government is of the view that the division will help the expansion of all the three zones, apart from gaining a political advantage of capturing the power of civic bodies with the help of the AIMIM Party.
It is worth mentioning here that on date, the TRS Party does not have representation in the Corporation that consists of 150 wards. The success of trifurcating the existing Delhi Municipal Corporation into North Delhi, South Delhi and East Delhi Municipal Corporation that was done in 2012 turns to be the inspiration for the very idea. In a similar manner, Mumbai city has two corporations - the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC).
