Councillors inspect SC, BC hostels
Two Tandur Municipal councillors on Saturday visited the SC and BC hostels in the town and took the staff to task for serving uncooked rice and diluted ‘charu’ to the inmates.

Tandur (Ranga Reddy): Two Tandur Municipal councillors on Saturday visited the SC and BC hostels in the town and took the staff to task for serving uncooked rice and diluted ‘charu’ to the inmates. They noted that four kg rice and one kg dal were being used to prepare food for 60 students. Floor leader Suneetha Sampath and BJP Councillor Anjali expressed their anger towards the warden. They questioned him whether he would serve such food to his children, with a warning to change his functioning.Students poured out their woes stating that they were being forced to stay in darkness during power failures, as no lamps were provided.
The two leaders told the media that they would lodge a complaint against the warden and the staff to the district collector.
