Mudhole (Adilabad): Power cuts in the Mudhole Assembly constituency have been causing misery to farmers. The farmers are forced to depend on diesel generators to water their crops.

A farmer, named Ahmed said farmers are forced to depend on generators. They are incurring Rs 100 an hour to run generators on diesel. Crops are withering away due to power cuts in the mandals of Bhainsa, Mudhole, Tanur, Lokeswaram and Kuntala.

Farmers said former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had provided free uninterrupted power for eight hours to agricultural fields. They alleged the TRS government had failed to supply power even for four hours. They said maize, paddy and chilli crops had been drying up.
