Warangal: The TRS government is trying to disown its responsibility of addressing the people’s problems, alleged senior BJP leader N Indrasena Reddy here on Sunday.

At a press conference, he accused the government of not taking a single decision to help the people. Its actions were either attracting admonition from courts or causing public discomfort.

The BJP leader charged that the government instead of finding effective means to solve public issues was creating problems for them. The TRS leaders were engaged in blaming the Opposition or Andhra leaders.

“The government should keep in mind that hitting at Opposition leaders or censuring the government of AP could achieve nothing to improve the quality of life of people in Telangana,” Reddy said.

Referring to the power crisis, he said CM KCR before coming to power had blamed the TDP and Congress governments and promised eight-hour supply to farmers; but power was not being supplied even for three hours.

Reddy expressed concern over the plight of farmers, as they were not being supplied quality power and not getting the benefit of crop loan waiver, as promised by the government. Crops were withering and farmers were burdened by loans, taken from banks and private lenders.

Unable to bear the stress, farmers were committing suicide, he lamented. So far 270 farmers ended their lives in Telangana. When questioned by the Opposition, the government was giving ‘irrelevant’ and ‘irresponsible’ answers.

The integrated survey, issue of pensions, ration cards or food security cards and other initiatives of the government ran into trouble because of lack of understanding and arrogance of CM, he claimed.

By making students to obtain fresh caste and income certificates, the government was intending to delay welfare schemes, Reddy alleged. To protest the government’s anti-people policies, the party would hold demonstrations in all district headquarters on October 21.
