GHMC to take up revision of electoral rolls

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a revised programme for taking up of special summary revision of electoral rolls 2015. January 1, 2015 is the qualifying date in respect of 15 Assembly Constituencies of Hyderabad district.

According to the schedule, the draft electoral rolls in respect of (15) Assembly Constituencies of Hyderabad district would be published on November 13, 2014 and made available at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Registration Officers concerned for inspection of the electors.

Special campaign dates will be conducted on November 16, 2014, November 23, 2014, November 30, 2014 and December 12, 2014.

Booth Level Officers concerned will be available in their respective polling station locations during office hours along with relevant part of electoral rolls, sufficient quantities of Forms – 6, 7, 8 and 8A to facilitate the electors to verify the electoral rolls and to file their claims and objections, if any. Therefore, the electors in respect of (15) Assembly Constituencies of Hyderabad district were requested to utilise this opportunity to verify the electoral rolls and to file their claims and objections, if any, so as to prepare error free electoral rolls, said a press release.
