Hyderabad: The TRS and BJP on Saturday fought in assembly over the suspension of TDP MLAs from the Telangana Assembly and that too for a week.
The BJP stated that the suspension against the spirit of democracy. They demanded for the immediate revocation of the suspension. TRS members resonsponded by saying that Revanth Reddy is still ‘unapologetic’ about his comments against Nizamabad MP Kavitha and his suspension has to continue.
“Despite the Speaker giving him enough opportunities in the House to withdraw his remarks and tender an apology, he ignored them. He committed three mistakes on that day. First he claimed wrongly that Kavitha had enrolled at two places for household survey. Second he cited wrong data to claim that TS was consuming more power than AP from power stations when the entire House and state is agitated over AP denying TS its legitimate 54 per cent share of power. Third he made unparliamentarily remarks against TRS members asking them to lick the shoes of the CM. If Revanth Reddy tenders an apology, this issue will be resolved,” Harish Rao said.
He named Revanth Reddy as Telanagana Traitor and that he is trying to feed false news to Telangana assembly.
“The government had earlier claimed that he was suspended for making derogatory remarks against Kavitha. Now it is coming out with other reasons. The government should clarify what led to suspension of TDP members,” BJP demanded.
