KCR L&T to Realign Metro Route

The L& T hAS finally agrred to realign the hyderabad Metro Rail(HMR) route at three places.The realigned route will go behind the Assembly and Koti women\'s college buildings.A decision on the third route in the Old City would be taken with elected representatives on Nov-20.

The realignment decisions was taken on Saturday at a high-level meeting between telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and L&T Chairman A M Naik.Rao reportedly said that it was the telangana government which had decided to extend the Metro Project from 73 km to 200 km,"The previous government have viewed Hyderabad as a real estate hub.Hyderabad has glorious past and historical monuments have a special place in the hearts of the people.The reason for the change in the realignment assembly is to avoid disturbing the Martyr's Memorial.
The chief Ministyer alleged that a few Andhra Forces were trying to defame the government and stall the progress of Metro Rail and termed the leakage of teh letters written byL&T as unfortunate.
On his part,that L&T Chairman said that it was a case miscommunication.Naik informed that legal issues involving ISKCON,Country club,Tamil Church and the railways was resolved and that most of the private lands were acquried.The Right of way would be granted to the Metro Rail Soon.
