Sonia’s life history to be in Telangana school syllabus
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Tuesday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had agreed in principle to introduce in syllabus the life history of All India Congress Committee chief Sonia Gandhi, who conceded statehood to Telangana.
Hyderabad: Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Tuesday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had agreed in principle to introduce in syllabus the life history of All India Congress Committee chief Sonia Gandhi, who conceded statehood to Telangana.
Participating in Sonia Gandhi's 68th birthday celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponguleti said, “The Chief Minister agreed in principle to our appeal. We are happy to note that he has agreed to our appeal to introduce important events of Sonia Gandhi's life history as a lesson in the syllabus in Telangana schools,” he said.
Sonia is known for keeping her promise of statehood to Telangana despite many hurdles and at the cost of her own party. We hope the TRS government would honour Sonia in this manner,” he added.
