Vamsi Krishna claims he can surpass pop star in executing moonwalk dance

Tandur: A 21-year-old Vamsi Krishna from Tanduru in Rangareddy district is consumed by ambition to surpass Michael Jackson by executing “moonwalk.” He claims that he has already learnt the art Michael Jackson executed during performance of Billie Jean in March 1983.

The moonwalk is a dance move that presents the illusion of the dancer being pulled backwards while attempting to walk forward. Vamsi Krishna from childhood is the fan of Michael Jackson. He was overwhelmed by the moonwalk executed by the King of Pop. He did the feat to a distance of 2.41 km in one hour. The youth by practice claims to have achieved in doing the same feat to a distance 3.7 km in just 48 seconds.

The youth sent through e-mail to the Guinness Book of World Record that he had surpassed Michael Jackson in moonwalk. The editors of Guinness Book of World Records seemed to have decided to snatch at the opportunity to record the feat, if it is true. They sent back reply e-mail, informing Vamsi Krishna that experts would land in Tandur on February 1 next year to witness the performance.

Now with opportunity knocking at his door, the youth is practising the art day and night to make his dream come true. Vamsi Krishna has already shown his talents in tournaments and competition held by World Black Belt Council in the past.
