TG government releases 256 crore for pension beneficiaries
Telangana government is steadily asking its progress in implementing the pre poll promises. According o the report the TG government released 246.48 crore funds for the benefit of weaker section pensioners.
Hyderabad: Telangana government is steadily asking its progress in implementing the pre poll promises. According o the report the TG government released 246.48 crore funds for the benefit of weaker section pensioners.
The TRS government issued orders to this effect here on Saturday. The pension beneficiaries include old-age people, widows and physically disabled persons. While old-age and widows will get Rs 1,000 each, physically challenged would get Rs 1,500 every month.
However, the State government has decided to pay pension to only one old age person in a family even if there are more old age people. Though the government’s stand drew flak from the Opposition parties and a sort of discontent among the TRS leadership was prevailing, the government is firm on its policy.
