It's a known fact that the New England Brewing Company of United States, uses Mahatma Gandhi’s name as a brand name for its beer Gandhi-Bot.The product was launched in the international market. However, this has not gone down well with an Indian. An advocate Janardhan Goud has filed a petition at the Nampally court in Hyderabad against the company.
“This is highly condemnable and punishable, according to Indian Laws and amounts to offence under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act,1971, and Section 124-A of IPC. It is an insult to Mahatma Gandhi," said Janardhan in his petition.
