Hyderabad: The CPI (M) Telangana unit’s first extended meeting (Maha Sabhalu) to be held from March 1 to 4 in the city would prepare an action plan to strengthen the party and discuss the issues ranging from the development of the new State and welfare of the poor.

Releasing a booklet on the meeting, party’s State executive member Ch Ramulu said the necessity of promotion of industries in public sector, education, health and the welfare of farmers and workers and strengthening of ponds and irrigation projects would be discussed in the meeting.

He asserted the need to bring alternative economic policies for the holistic development of Telangana. The meeting would also discuss social justice and women empowerment issues, he added.
