Govt Nod For Palamur LI Project Phase-I, Water Grid. The Telangana Government has given administrative sanction for the first phase works for the flagship projects of Palamur-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation scheme and water grid.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has given administrative sanction for the first phase works for the flagship projects of Palamur-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation scheme and water grid. The government took a decision to spend Rs 14,350 crore for the first phase of Palamur Lift irrigation works and Rs 1,518 crore for water grid works in 14 segments.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao signed the related file. The government has taken a decision to this effect following a report submitted by the officials on these projects.

The first phase of Palamur lift irrigation scheme will be taken up through lifting of 70 tmc waters from Jurala project to Koil Konda in Mahabubnagar district.

The Chief Minister has given nod for the works which will irrigate 10 lakh acres in three districts of Mahabunaagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda, besides providing drinking water to many places.

About 26 works in 14 segments in 9 districts will be taken up for water grid project. As part of this, the funds will be used for intake wells, water treatment plants, raw water pumping main, high tension power supply, a CMO release said.
