TRS party takes up membership drive

Ibrahimpatnam: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) launched membership drive in Ibrahimpatnam constituency in Ranga Reddy district on Friday.

A meeting on this occasion was held at Vaishnavi Function Hall at Ibrahimpatnam town. Constituency in-charge Kancherla Chandra Shekhar Reddy presided over the meeting. Vangeti Laxma Reddy, Venkatesh Goud and EC Shekhar Goud, Dabbikar Srinivasu, Barla Jagadeesh Yadav, JP Srinivasu, Md Sandhani, Narayana Reddy, Padma Ramavathu Naik, senior TRS leader K Babu Rao and senior leaders from four mandals – Yacharam, Rajashekhar Reddy, Bhaskar, Mallikarjun from Hayathnagar mandal, Mook Kiran Goud, Baldev Reddy Seeka Balraj, Hari Mohan Reddy and Suka Raju from Manchal mandal, Aylaiah, Md Johny Pasha, Venkat Reddy Mallesh, Sadanandam and nearly 1,000 party leaders attended the meeting.

Addressing the gathering, Kancherla Chandra Shekhar Reddy spoke about the initiatives being taken by TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the development of Telangana State. “The TRS government is emphasising three sectors – social justice providing minimum essentials to the poor, government support to the agriculture sector and encouragement for new industries to provide employment to educated unemployed,” he said.

During the meeting, a minority committee was constituted to take care of the membership drive in the four mandals and two Nagar Panchayats. The members are: Kancherla Chandra Shekar Reddy, Vangeti Laxma Reddy, EC Shekhar Goud, Dabbikar Srinivasu, JP Srinivasu, Barla Jagadeesh Yadav, Md Sandhani and Padmavati Ramavathi Naik.
