A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held in NTR Trust Bhavan here on Wednesday.
The meeting under the presidentship of L Ramana and attended by party working president Errabelli Dayaka Rao. BJP fielded R Rammohan Rao for Mahbubnagar- Ranga Reddy- Hyderabad and N Ramachander Rao for Nalgonda - Warangal- Khammam Graduate constituencies , The polls are scheduled be held on March 16. The party would take up a joint campaign with BJP in the constituencies from February last week.
The T TDP’s youth wing and party cadre would join the campaign.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Dayakar Rao said the T TDP decided not to field its candidates and support the BJP in the election. A meeting with the State BJP top brass would be held very soon to chalk out a strategy for the victory of the candidates.
The two parties had also decided to contest the elections to GHMC, Warangal and Khamma Municipal Corporation together.
The T TDP leaders said the TRS was keen to join the NDA government. But the BJP had spurned the offer of support by the TRS. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had planned to induct his daughter K Kavitha into Central Cabinet but to no avail.
