Adilabad: Anganwadi workers and people’s representatives organised grand celebrations by bursting crackers at IB Cross Roads in Mancherial town on Friday to thank the State government for providing hike in their salaries. They organised ‘Paalabhishekam’ to the portrait of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Mancherial Municipal Vice-Chairperson Vasundhara said that the Chief Minister was fulfilling poll promises one-by-one after the Telangana State came into existence. She said that previous State governments in united Andhra Pradesh did not increase salaries of Anganwadi workers. She expressed happiness over the salary hike of Anganwadi workers and people’s representatives. Vasundhara thanked the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues for taking decision in favour of Anganwadi workers and people’s representatives.
