Karimnagar: The Husnabad Nagara Panchayat, having a population of 35,000, will be upgraded into a model town in the near future and the officials have chalked out a master plan to construct a ring road in the town. Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Commissioner Kumaraswamy said that they would send proposals after conducting a full-fledged survey from Yellamma lake to Siddheshwara Gutta and also from behind the dairy cold storage centre to the Arepalli Kottacheruvu region.

He said that the traffic problem would be solved. They also formulated plans to widen the roads up to 40, 50 and 60 feet. He said that the government was also scouting for land to expand the town. Husnabad mandal CPI secretary Koyyada Srujan Kumar and Telangana Praja Front district convener Mekala Veeranna Yadav expressed happiness that Husnabad was being upgraded into a model town.
