TDP gave political life to weaker sections: Errabelli.Grand celebrations marked the Foundation Day of Telugu Desam Party here on Sunday.
Warangal: Grand celebrations marked the Foundation Day of Telugu Desam Party here on Sunday. The party working president Errabelli Dayakar Rao, senior leaders Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, Revuri Prakash Reddy, S Samma Rao, district president A Baswa Reddy, city wing leader A Murali and others have offered floral tributes to the statue of the TDP founder late NT Rama Rao at Public Gardens in Hanamkonda.
Later, speaking to press persons at the party district headquarters, Dayakar Rao said the TDP and the party founder had offered political opportunities to SC/ST, BCs and minorities and financially weaker sections.
All those who were associated with TDP and joined other parties should celebrate the party Foundation Day. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, his deputy Kadiam Srihari, Minister A Chandulal and others who were once with the TDP should celebrate the occasion.
‘Since they could not do it openly they should at least commemorate the event privately in their homes as those leaders benefitted from the TDP and gained recognition in the society,’ Dayakar Rao said.
He asserted that none could damage the party in Telangana as it was supported and patronised by public at grassroots level. The just concluded Graduate MLC elections have clearly displayed the public backing to the party.
The BJP candidates supported by TDP have gained majority of votes. In all TRS could get 1.02 lakh votes while BJP gained 1.19 lakh votes both in Hyderabad-Mahbubnagar-Ranga Reddy and Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda Graduate Constituencies.
‘This is a fitting lesson to TRS. The educated youth expressed their anger against the ruling party,’ he pointed. Hence the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should stop attacking the TDP and its leaders.
‘The TDP workers would not tolerate if the party was targeted’ he cautioned. The TRS could attract the TDP MLAs and leaders but the real workers were with the party. The party would show its might in the ensuing elections, Dayakar Rao stated.
The CM has visited Warangal district and made series of promises. But sadly not a single promise was delivered so far. The CM should convene a meeting with all political parties to review development of the district.
