T TDP leader demands release of Vimalakka

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader Motkupalli Narsimhulu on Saturday said the TRS government should stop working for landlords and contractors in the State. Talking to media at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Motkupalli termed the TRS government policies as anti-dalit. He demanded inclusion of Mala, Madiga and women in the KCR Cabinet. He also alleged that the KCR government, without providing reservation, was celebrating birth anniversaries of Babu Jagjivan Ram and Ambedkar, who were instrumental in providing reservation to downtrodden including STs and SCs.

“If Chandrashekar Rao failed to include Mala, Madigas and women in his Cabinet, he should not participate in Jayanthi celebrations of Jagjivan Ram and Dr Ambedkar,” the TDP leader said. Deploring the style of functioning of the TRS government, he said instead of felicitating those who played major role in the Telangana statehood movement, it was targeting and taking revenge against such people. Motkupalli demanded withdrawal of cases foisted against Vimalakka who, along with other artistes, played a key role in achieving separate statehood to Telangana through their folk songs.
