Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam party on Sunday alleged that the TRS government in the state had forgotten governance and was focusing more on increasing their personal wealth. At a press conference here, party floor leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao alleged that KCR was encouraging embezzlement of funds by his ministers G. Jagadish Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. MLA Yadagiri Reddy is neck deep in corruption. They have full backing of the Chief Minister, he alleged.

The team of corrupt leaders in TRS is being led by T Harish Rao, KTR, K Kavitha as they have realised that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has lost its appeal among people and it’s days are numbered, Rao added.According to Errabelli, the fear of TRS leaders is evident from the fact that one-time TDP leaders and ministers in the KCR cabinet, Kadiam Srihari and Talasani Srinivas Yadav are not ready to resign their MP and MLA seats as they are not sure of winning.

He said if the state government was concerned about people’s issues, it would have by now declared drought-affected mandals and sought Central assistance. The TDP leader demanded the government pay an ex-gratia of Rs 20,000 per acre to those farmers who are in debt after their crops were destroyed and to those farmers who lost two crops in a row due to lack of water. He also demanded the government to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 10,000 per acre to farmers whose paddy crops got dried up.

He said if the TRS government fails to declare drought-affected mandals and pay compensation for the crop loss, a delegation of Telangana TDP leaders will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh and would request them for release of funds. The TDP floor leader demanded the TRS government to withdraw the case filed against civil rights leader Vimalakka.
