Mahabubnagar: Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao launched the Mission Indradhanush by vaccinating children below two years at a progamme organised in Shadnagar town on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Jupally said that the State and Central governments have launched one vaccine by name Indradhanush for children below two years. He said that one vaccine would prevent seven diseases in children.

The Minister alleged that previous State governments in the past 20 years have allocated only Rs 5 crore for taking up survey works of the Palamuru lift irrigation scheme while the TRS government had allocated Rs 30,000 crore for the same. He lashed out at opposition parties for trying to stall the works of irrigation projects.

Jupally said that the Legislative Assembly had witnessed ruckus on power shortage in the past 14 years. He stated that the TRS government came to the rescue of farmers and industries by resolving power crisis in the State. District Collector Sreedevi, Shadnagar MLA Anjaiah Yadaiah, former MLC Jagadeeshwar Reddy, other party leaders and officials were present.

Achampet: Health Minister C Laxma Reddy launched Mission Indradhanush here by administering vaccines to children below two years here on Tuesday. The Minister said that it is an auspicious occasion to launch the programme at Achampet. He said that six-bed hospitals at mandal-level would be upgraded to 30-bed hospitals. Later, the Minister inspected the Achampet government hospital and assured of upgrading it to 100-bed hospital.
