Mahabubnagar: Telugu Desam MLA Revanth Reddy on Friday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao of failing to honour poll-eve promises. Addressing the party’s broad-based Achampet constituency meeting, he alleged that KCR had joined hands with contractors to get hold of diamonds in the Nallamala area after driving away the Chenchus to the town by offering Rs10 lakh package to each.

Reddy recalled that KCR’s daughter Kavita, MP, had during a tour of Nallamala had promised to better the lot of Chenchus. But, he claimed, efforts were now on to shift the tribals to towns. The TDP leader, ridiculing KCR’s proposal to shift the Secretariat to Erragadda, suggested that the Chief Minister should move his residence instead. He dismissed KCR’s boast of burying TDP in Telangana, saying it is impossible. Erraballi Dayakar Rao, MLA, was present, along with leaders Bakkani Narsimhulu, Kothakota Dayakar Reddy, local MLA Ramulu.
