The Annual Credit Plan for Hyderabad District for the year 2015-16 was launched at the Hyderabad Collectorate. Hyderabad: The Annual Credit Plan for Hyderabad District for the year 2015-16 was launched at the Hyderabad Collectorate. The Total Credit Plan target was set at Rs 25,26,260 lakh compared to Rs 23,39,130 lakh, the previous year. Amongst the Priority Sector advances Micro & Small Enterprises (Rs 2,66,938 lakh), Education Loans (Rs 23,937 lakh), Housing Loans (Rs 65,846 lakh) were given importance. While for the Non-Priority Sector Heavy Industries (Rs 4,24,127 lakh), Medium Enterprises (Rs 2,65,507 lakh), Housing (Rs 92,194 lakh) were given importance.
Speaking on the occasion, the Hyderabad District Collector K Nirmala who also chaired the District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Legislative Review Committee (DLRC) called upon for close cooperation between officials and bankers for ensuring beneficiaries get their due, under various schemes. During the meeting, she asked participants to ensure grounding of various developmental schemes planned for 2014-15, by the end of April.
As the government extended time of another three months for reaching out the targets, the District Collector asked the officials and bankers to ensure targets are reached. Responding to problems faced by the bankers during recovery process, she assured police backup. Emphasising the need for providing loans for Self Help Groups (SHG) and Educational loans, the District Collector called upon for monthly meetings of bankers to ensure targets are reached.
Amberpet MLA, G Kishan Reddy held that various hurdles being faced by common man during application process, was forcing several beneficiaries to drop out their hopes. He requested the bankers to help poor get benefitted, under various government schemes. Lead Bank Manager, NVNS Nageswara Rao, DGM Ajaychand Sethi, RBI AGM S Chellapandi, Additional Joint Collector B Sanjeevaiah and several others were present.
