Although many items are listed on the agenda, TRS is expected to sound poll bugle for the impending GHMC elections through this meeting.

According to party sources, plenary will be held from 11 am till 7 pm. TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be addressing two times; once to kick-off the session and to conclude it. Rao was closetted with poet and singer Desapathi Srinivas, at his old residence in Banjara Hills, for almost three hours in the afternoon, where he is learnt to have fine-tuned his speech for the D-day.
The party has invited around 36,000 delegates; 300 members from each of the 119 assembly constituencies for this meeting. Seating arrangements were made with partitions for VIPs, women leaders as well as media. Also, a temporary roof has been erected to overcome the blistering summer heat and unexpected downpour, if any. The city is soaked in pink colour with huge posters, flexis, banners, cut-outs of KCR and key leaders besides flags erected at various junctions and on fly-overs leading to the venue.
According to party insiders, 13 resolutions, concerning party and political issues, as well as government schemes, would be adopted in the meeting. These include - TRS organisation structure and future, transforming Hyderabad into a global city, on people’s welfare, cultural renaissance, Haritha Haaram, government priority subjects such as power, irrigation, agriculture, industry, housing, present political situation and role of TRS, on Centre’s promises made to Telangana in AP Reorganization Act, Godavari Pushkaralu among others.
The other important agenda of the Friday meeting is the official announcement of KCR as the party president for the seventh time. Flower petals will be showered on the main dais soon after Naini Narsimha Reddy, the Returning Officer for the election, announces Rao’s name.
As far as lunch arrangements are concerned, delegates will have to take a walk for some distance till Nizam College Grounds to fill stomach. The organizers are preparing food that will be sufficient for fifty to fifty-five thousand persons. Meanwhile, 2500 police have been deployed in and around the LB Stadium to look after security arrangements. Also, elaborate parking arrangements were made to avoid inconvenience to visiting delegates.
