Corruption-free govt is Modi’s biggest feat, says Dattatreya

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya said one of the important achievements of Narendra Modi government was providing a corruption-free government during the year. Dattatreya was speaking after inaugurating an exhibition-cum-awareness programme of the initiatives of his ministry at Lal Bahadur Indoor Stadium here.

He said, “Industrial peace and harmony can be achieved only when the goals of employment and employability are in tune with the goals of industrial development and growth. It is the vision of the Government to have an environment which is conducive for inclusive growth and development of the country. The mantra of Shrameva Jayate guides our efforts to realise the call of the Prime Minister for “Make in India”, “Digital India” and “Skill India”.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment is committed towards good governance by bringing transparency and accountability in Labour Laws”, he added. “A number of good governance initiatives have been taken with the help of Information Technology. On the other hand, Union Labour Ministry was making important initiatives to realise the vision of Shram Yogi-Rashtra Yogi-Rashtra Niramta” and to establish the dignity and respect for each and every worker in the country through provision of social security and enhancing the avenues and quality of employment through vocational training”, Dattatreya said.

On the occasion, the Minister released an amount of Rs 9 crores as scholarships under beedi workers children's scholarship disbursement scheme. Dattatreya also released a hand book in Telugu language highlighting various benefits of Employees' Provident Fund Organisation to employers and employees.
