Sircilla (Karimnagar): Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj K T Rama Rao on Tuesday lashed out at the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for trying to sidetrack the “cash for vote” scandal in the recent Legislative Council elections and project it as a dispute between the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the media here, the IT Minister said that Naidu, instead of trying to prove his innocence, was inciting the people of Andhra Pradesh against the people of Telangana and was trying to drive a wedge between the two Telugu-speaking states. Naidu, who pretended to take pride of Telugu culture, should not resort to such cheap politics, he added.
The Minister said it was the personal problem of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the Telangana State government had no role in it. Whether a person was the Prime Minister or the Chief Minister, he was not above the law, K T R added. He said the Chief Minister’s post was not a license to indulge in corruption.
