Telangana workers held for visa violation in Saudi Arabia

150 Telangana workers have been arrested by the Saudi Arabia police for violating visa and work permit rules making it a major crackdown on migrant workers. Earlier in 2013, the crackdown began leading to thousands of undocumented migrant workers getting either deported to their countries or languishing in Saudi jails.

According to the sources, most of the arrested workers had work permit and visa but quit their jobs owing to the low salaries and odd timings. The migrant workers who have been arrested are awaiting Telangana government to rescue them.
