TDP stages protest at GHMC office
TDP activists held a massive protest at the GHMC headquarters on Monday demanding better civic amenities. Led by MLAs, Maganti Gopinath and G Sainna, TDP activists alleged that development had come to a halt in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Speaking to media persons, Gopinath said grant of Rs. 50 lakh sanctioned for each locality under “Swachh Hyderabad” campaign were yet to be released. He said the condition of city roads, drains and street lights, besides other amenities, were in bad shape.
Accusing GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar of acting like a TRS agent, he said the Corporation and State government was paying attention only to publicity stunts. The TDP leaders threatened that they would launch massive agitation if the GHMC failed to make city clean and green.
