The trough running from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting. The upper air cyclonic circulation over the north Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood now lies over the northwest Bay and adjacent Gangetic West Bengal.

As a result, the Met office has forecast rain or thundershowers at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated rain or thundershowers in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Coastal AP. It said isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on July 3, 4, 5 and 6.
During the last 24 hours ending 8.30 am, rainfall occurred at a few places in Telangana. Pinapaka 7, Hasanparthy 6, Gangadhara 5, Narsampet, Asifabad, Julapalle, Jangaon 4 each, Dharmasagar, Venkatapuram, Pitlam, Palakurthi, Thimmapur, Kamareddy and Sircilla 3 each.
