Collector reviews Pushkaram arrangements. District Collector Ronald Rose said that the State government is taking necessary arrangements to overcome water scarcity for Godavari pushkaralu and discussing with the Maharashtra government to release waters from Vishnupuri and other projects.
Nizamabad: District Collector Ronald Rose said that the State government is taking necessary arrangements to overcome water scarcity for Godavari pushkaralu and discussing with the Maharashtra government to release waters from Vishnupuri and other projects.
Addressing a press conference on Godavari Pushkaralu, here on Friday, Collector Ronald Rose said that the district administration completed all necessary arrangements for Pushkaralu and State government is taking actions to overcome the water scarcity problem.
He also said the State government would be releasing necessary water from SRSP project and provide water facility to various ghats in Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts. But for the upper ghats from Kandukurti to Basar facing water scarcity problem, discussions with Maharastra government are going on to release the waters.
Rose explained that the district officials completed over 95 percent works of Pushkaralu comprising the Ghats roads completion, dress changing rooms, lavatories, clock rooms and remaining works would be completed within two days. He also said the special Ghats are arranged for ‘Pindapradam’, arranged nearly 250 priests at these Ghats and removing the garbage every two hours at these Ghats.
GhatSP informed that in the Nizamabad-Basar route they put some restrictions to control huge traffic, from July, 14 to 25 this way treated as single way; the passengers are go to the Nizamabad and Hyderabad from the Basar-Bhainsa-Nirmal route. On the occasion Collector and SP released the booklets on Godavari Pushkaralu to provide appropriate information to pilgrims.
