Speaking to reporters here on Friday, the Minister warned Naidu of dire consequences if he tries to stall the project. He found fault with Naidu for camping in the national capital to exert pressure on the Centre stop the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme.
He accused Naidu of conspiring against Palamuru lift scheme which was accorded permission in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. “I do not think that the Centre will yield to the pressure tactics of Naidu who is harming the interests of Telangana people’ he said.
The Telangana Telugu Desam leaders should ask Naidu as to why he was coming in the way of the project, he demanded. The project was aimed at irrigating 10 lakh acres in two districts. The T TDP leaders should clarify their stance on the issue whether the Palamuru lift scheme should be taken upor not, he said.
