Vaktha garners overwhelming response from participants. The public speaking skills training program generated a marked change in them after the training by experienced faculty. Some of them who feared holding a mike, now eagerly await an opportunity to grab it.

Hyderabad: After undergoing two-day training, the 28th batch of Vaktha found the dream of becoming great leaders realisable. They described this as a ‘runway to take off their flight’. Organised jointly by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on July 11 and 12, the two-day programme of Vaktha was attended by aspiring leaders and orators of various age groups and professional backgrounds.

The public speaking skills training program generated a marked change in them after the training by experienced faculty. Some of them who feared holding a mike, now eagerly await an opportunity to grab it. D Balreddy, Director, Training, Kapil Group and lead faculty explained all the important tips and techniques related to public speaking. While providing insights into the “dos and don’ts” of public speaking, he also explained the participants that to become a good public speaker one has to practice and prepare themselves.

They should also keep in mind the mood of audience all the times. The participants who tried to speak up like an orator explained that they could clearly recognise the deficiencies and would work on improving the same in the coming days. The session on ‘Influencer’ inspired the participants to become one of the good communicator who plays great role while influencing people with his or her attitude.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands. While giving their feedback, R Narendra described this as a platform to assess the ability of orator.

He termed this as a ‘runway to take off the flight’. K Venugopal Reddy, a good speaker achieved a new high after attending the training programme. He felt that the good speakers were always good learners; hence he took up the training programme. G Karunasree from Nalgonda, who earlier used to forget her words on stage, lost her stage fear after attending the programme.
