Telangana State Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy said on Tuesday that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao signed on the file to hike the stipend to the Junior Doctors by 15 per cent. According to the GO issued in 2014, for every two years the stipend has to increase.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy said on Tuesday that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao signed on the file to hike the stipend to the Junior Doctors by 15 per cent. According to the GO issued in 2014, for every two years the stipend has to increase.


Telangana junior doctors are getting Rs 20,700 (first year), Rs 21,600 (second year) and in third year Rs 23,000 at present. With the hike, first year junior doctors would get Rs 23,800, second year junior doctor Rs 25,000 and Rs 26,000 for third year junior doctors.


The Telangana Junior Doctors Association president Dr G Srinivas thanked the Health Minister and the CM for increasing the stipend. As many as 1,000 junior doctors across the State would enjoy the benefits, Dr G Srinivas said.
