HYDERABAD: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday ordered notices to the Speaker of Legislative Assembly and Chairman Legislative Council, Telangana. The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt was dealing with a batch of writ petitions seeking disqualifications of MLCs and MLAs who had defected to other political parties without resigning from their earlier parties.
As reported earlier, the petitioners complained that the Presiding Officers of both the houses had not acted on their complaints. Aggrieved by the lack of action, the present batch of petitions were filed. The bench adjourned the matter by two weeks.
