Kavitha flayed Rahul to win Modi’s praise
Congress Legislature Party Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday flayed TRS MP K Kavitha for criticising AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. He said Kavitha had criticised Rahul Gandhi to get into good books of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and secure a place in the Central Cabinet.
Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday flayed TRS MP K Kavitha for criticising AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. He said Kavitha had criticised Rahul Gandhi to get into good books of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and secure a place in the Central Cabinet.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Jeevan Reddy lashed out at Kavitha for advising Rahul Gandhi to take a holy dip in the river Godavari to cleanse his sins. “The remarks against Rahul by Kavitha show her audacity and arrogance,” he alleged. He wondered whether Kavitha was not aware of Rahul Gandhi’s “sins” when she along with her father KCR met AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to express their gratitude for carving out a separate Telangana State.
Saying that the sins committed by the TRS government had led to 1,000 farmers committing suicide, Jeevan Reddy demanded that the government pay Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to each bereaved family.
