Hyderabad: Extending support to the outsourcing employees of Arogyasri Trust, Telangana BJP floor leader K Lakshman demanded the State Government to increase their salaries and other benefits. Around 1,500 employees with the Arogyasri Trust launched an indefinite strike from Saturday demanding hike in salary and allowances.

Expressing solidarity with the striking employees at Indira Park , Lakshman said that the TRS leaders who supported the Arogyasri outsourcing employees during the Telangana agitation are now turning a blind eye on them. The BJP leader has demanded the government to implement the wage revision and concede to the just demands of the employees.

He also warned that they will stall the proceedings of the ensuing session of Assembly if it failed to solve the problems of the employees. The protesting employees stated that the strike will continue till their demands are met. They alleged that they have been working since 2007 for paltry salaries of Rs. 5,900 pm to Aarogya mitras at PHC level, Rs. 7,200 pm at network hospital level and Rs. 9,940 pm to team leaders.
