The Union Minister of State for Commerce, Nirmala Sitharaman, assured the TRS MP from Nizamabad, K Kavitha, on Friday that the Centre would establish a spice park for turmeric in Nizamabad provided the requirements like land allocation were met. Kavitha made the appeal for the spice park.

Meanwhile, she said there should be no apprehensions if the Spice Development Agency Regional office located in Guntur handled the turmeric business in Telangana. She said so in response to the demand that the power be vested with the Warangal Regional Office of the Spice Development Agency.
