Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday interacted with CEOs of about 30 companies located in Liaoning province of China and explained to them about state's unique industrial policy and scope for investments in Telangana.

According to Chief Minister’s Office, the Leo Group, considered to be one of the largest water pump manufacturers in China, has shown keen interest to invest in the state. Group chairman Leo Wang met KCR and expressed his willingness to set up a firm to manufacture heavy-duty pumps with an estimated cost of Rs 1000 crore.

It is said that more Chinese business forums are showing keen interest in meeting KCR to find out about investment opportunities in Telangana. A high-level delegation from the China Council of Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Shenzen chapter, led by its president Jiande Ye, has written a letter to the Chief Minister urging him to include Shenzen in his itinerary.

He pointed out that Shenzhen-based companies were increasingly keen to invest in foreign markets and were looking for opportunities abroad, including India. Ye requested KCR and his team to visit Shenzhen on September 14 to explore the options for mutual cooperation in the trade.

Earlier, Indian Ambassador to China Ashok K Kantha had a brief meeting with KCR. He briefed the CM about the prospects and potential of the Chinese companies to make investments in Telangana.
