Petition filed in High Court over farmers suicides

Owing to the farmers suicides taking place in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Telangana political JAC chairman Professor Kodandaram filed a petition in the High Court on Tuesday.

Owing to the farmers suicides taking place in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Telangana political JAC chairman Professor Kodandaram filed a petition in the High Court on Tuesday.
In the petition, Kodandaram stated that the Swaminathan Committee's recommendations have not been taken under consideration by the government and also that the measures taken by the government are in turn increasing the farmers' suicides.
He further added that within a week, the suicides have increased both in AP and Telangana.
