Ramreddy Venkat Reddy is new chairman of PAC
Ramreddy Venkat Reddy is new chairman of PAC. The Congress senior MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy was named as the new Chairman of Public Accounts Committee of Telangana State Legislature. Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram has issued orders in this regard on Friday.
Hyderabad: The Congress senior MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy was named as the new Chairman of Public Accounts Committee of Telangana State Legislature. Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram has issued orders in this regard on Friday.
This change was effected in view of sudden demise of Narayankhed MLA P Kista Reddy, who was holding the PAC chairman post. It may be mentioned here that Congress sent a proposal to Speaker Madhusudhana Chary earlier requesting him to appoint Venkat Reddy as PAC chairman.
Accordingly, the senior MLA representing Palair of Khammam district was elevated to the coveted post. The Speaker constituted the nine-member PAC as well as Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) and Public Estimates Committee (PEC) on March 26.
The other members on board PAC are- Gangula Kamalakar, Hanumanth Shinde, G Balraju, A Jeevan Reddy (TRS), Ramreddy Venkat Reddy (Congress), Manchireddy Kishan Reddy (TDP), Akbaruddin Owaisi (AIMIM) and Dr K Laxman (BJP).
