With the Bathukamma celebrations reaching its last day, the Telangana Government has declared a public holiday on Tuesday on the account of Bathukamma festival.
The Bathukamma celebrations will take place on Tank Bund alongside Hussainsagar as the festival culminates with thousands of Bathukammas brought by women from across the state on Tuesday.
In the Saddula Bathukamma rally that will take place at the end of nine days of Bathukamma festivities, around 20,000 women are to said to participate along with 2,000 artists and 10 tableux in the procession from LB Stadium to Tank Bund. One lakh sky lanterns and balloons will be left in the air to mark the event at Hussainsagar following which fireworks will conclude the celebrations.
