Mathiah quash plea proceedings recorded on video

History of sorts was made in the High Court on Friday when for the first time the entire proceedings in a case were recorded on video and close circuit TV was used to monitor the same.

The incident was in accordance with an earlier direction by Justice Dr. Shiv Shanker who had directed that the hearing of the quash proceedings filed by Mathiah, one of the accused in the vote for note scam be recorded.

It may be recalled that certain persons had raised allegations of prejudice and wanted the case to be transferred. The Revanth Reddy connected case shook the state capital when bribe offerings for casting votes were made public in a sting operation.
