Warangal: Unfazed by the Bihar assembly election results, the BJP cadre and leaders on Sunday conducted hectic campaigning for Warangal Parliament by-election. Party nominee Dr P Devaiah, MLA Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy along with senior TDP and BJP leaders have toured mandals like Mogullapalli, Chityal, Regonda, Hasanparthy and others. Despite the NDA’s poor performance in Bihar elections, the party leaders claimed that the public in the country were still favouring PM Narendra Modi’s developmental agenda and pro-poor approach.

The voters’ response to the party campaigning was overwhelming, said party district president E Ashok Reddy. The BJP-led NDA government was laying special focus on the development of Telangana and Warangal district. For example, the Centre has sanctioned AIIMS and Horticulture University to Telangana and selected Warangal for Smart City, Heritage City and Amrut projects, said MLA Ramachandra Reddy. The MLA said the TRS government in the State has miserably failed to provide land for setting up AIIMS and Horticulture University and to follow up those projects with the Centre.

The voters in Warangal should elect the party nominee for a better development of the district, he added. Earlier, addressing a press conference, Ramachandra Reddy found fault with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s failure to attend to his official duties at secretariat and for relaxing at his farm house. No CM in the country found to be resting at farmhouses, he criticised Saying that the TRS government’s one and half year rule was nothing but display of ‘arrogance’, the MLA wanted the voters here to defeat the TRS in the by-election. BJP senior leader N Venugopal Reddy, TDP president Gandra Satyanarayana and others were present.
