Irrigation Minister Harish Rao alleged that the Telugu Desam Party has completely lost its cadre base and support from public to contest elections in Telangana which is the reason it has left the Warangal Lok Sabha seat for BJP in the by-elections.

The Minister added that BJP could not find a local candidate to contest in the elections and had brought a candidate from the US. Harish Rao addressed the subject during the meeting organised by the RTC workers in Warangal and said that the Congress also was under similar situation as the party changed the candidate from Rajaiah to Sarve Satyanarayana.

Harish Rao campaigning for the TRS candidate P Dayakar appealed to the RTC workers and other employees to vote for the party candidate. He stated that the TRS government was taking measures to bring in profits and housing benefit for the RTC workers. The Minister also reminded the RTC employees of the 44% Fitment given by the government by bearing an additional burden of Rs 75 crore per month.
