GHMC to complete road works by Jan
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to take up road repairing works in city limits and complete them by first week of January.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to take up road repairing works in city limits and complete them by first week of January.
The GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Saturday evening held a meeting with engineering wing officials and directed them to take up 1,900 metre black top (BT) road repairing works in city limits and complete them at the earliest. Speaking to the media, the GHMC Commissioner said the tenders for 612 works had been finalised. The tender process for remaining 300 works would be finalised soon,
he added.
Janardhan Reddy further stated that he had directed the GHMC officials to inform the work progress to the local residents and complete them soon with their involvement. He also asked the officials to give top priority to public grievances in this regard
He said, considering the traffic flow and to avoid public inconvenience, the road doctors would also work during nights to fill the pot holes in the city limits. Besides this, the Commissioner also asked the officials to prepare a list of areas with no BT roads.
