Hyderabad: Telangana TRANSCO Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao on Monday denied reports that there was any malpractice in the written exam conducted on Saturday for the recruitment of nearly 900 Assistant Engineers in power utilities.

He said that no malpractices were noticed during the course of the examination in any centre except for one physically challenged candidate who was caught using Bluetooth on his phone in the city.

Rao warned the aspirants not to fall prey to assurances given by certain beguiled persons. “In case any middleman approaches candidates with an assurance of getting appointment, it should be brought to the notice of the Transco management. The helpline number 8332983914 has been also installed to receive such complaints,” Rao said.
