The R&B Minister inaugurated two 33/11 K V sub-stations in Pocharam village of Kusumanchi mandal and in Beerolu village of Thirumalayapalem mandal. He also laid foundation stones for the construction of 30-bedded Social Health Centre at Thirumalayapalem mandal headquarters and a godown with 30 metric tonnes capacity and at a cost of Rs 6 crore in Muthagudem of Khammam rural on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said by bringing the required water for irrigation to Thirumalyapalem mandal through Devadula and Kanthanapalli lift irrigation projects the water problems will be solved forever. The completion of 30-bedded Social Health Centre within three months would be solved the health problems being faced by several people of the mandal, he added.

Nageshwar Rao assured of taking efforts to ensure that Thiurmalayapalem mandal would be included in the list of the famine-affected mandals.

The Minister assured the people that the State government would supply 24-hour power to farmers from April 1 next year. Nearly 53 sub-stations were established to prevent low voltage problem in the district. Out of which 21 were completed and the remaining would be completed before the next summer.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadepalli Kavitha, DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, RDO T Vinay Krishna Reddy, Special Officer of Palair Constituency Venu Manohar and mandal leaders were present along with others.
