Hyderabad: Accusing the Telangana government of changing the tender rules only to give contracts to TRS activists, TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister had a daylong meeting with contractors and real estate businessmen for the sake of commissions.

Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Sunday, Ravula alleged that the Chief Minister was ruling the State in a manner that he was interested only about him and his family. The ruling TRS was trying to ridicule the democracy to win the local body MLC elections by making other parties’ public representatives to join the TRS, he alleged.

The ruling party was indulging in blackmail politics to make other political party representatives to join the TRS by threatening them that they would get funds only in case they joined the TRS.

Finding fault with the Chief Minister for saying that the Opposition parties had to respect the peoples’ verdict in Warangal byelection, Ravula questioned Chandrashekar Rao as to why the latter forced the TDP Municipal Chairman to join the TRS. “Why the TRS leaders forgot to respect the public verdict in Khammam district,” he asked.

Alleging that that the TRS government was ignoring issue of farmer suicides, Ravula said the TRS was concentrating only on making the other parties leaders to join it. The Chief Minister’s camp office, which was meant for the resolution of public issues, had turned as a centre for real estate businessmen, contractors and for leaders joining the TRS, the TDP leader said.
